Scheduled Maintenance Services Offered

Like any vehicle, an RV requires you to follow a maintenance schedule to ensure its proper operation. Here are the scheduled maintenance services that we offer:

Technicians will test the brake’s operation, inspect the parts for excessive wear, inspect the wheel bearings, and calibrate the brakes to their proper settings. It is recommended to service your RV’s brakes and axles every 12 months to ensure proper operation. This service is crucial for pop-up campers, travel trailers, and fifth wheels for safe road operation.

Service intervals for changing engine oil and filter depending on your RV’s engine. Gasoline engines require their oil and filter changed every 4,000 to 6,000 miles traveled. As for Diesel engines, it is advised to change the oil and filter every 20,000 miles.

Your engine’s air filter keeps dirt and debris from getting into the combustion chamber. Clogged filters will disrupt the airflow into your engine and decrease its efficiency. It is replaced every 12,000 to 15,000 miles of travel or as recommended by the engine’s manufacturer.

Our technicians will visually inspect your engine’s hoses, clamps, heater hoses, and radiator hoses. They’ll drain old coolant fluid and replace it with new coolant fluid.

Generally, changing your engine coolant fluid is recommended on the first 60,000 miles of your RV and every 30,000 miles after. But, this recommendation might not apply to your RV. It is best to check with your RV’s manual or its manufacturer.

Gas engines need their fuel filters changed every 30,000 miles or two years while diesel engines require annual replacement at the minimum.

Your engine would have a timing belt (or chain) and a driving belt. These need to be replaced every 50,000 miles. Timely replacement of these belts is crucial if you want to avoid your motorhome breaking down on the road.

Technicians will test your RV’s slide outs if they are operating properly. They will check the hydraulic lines and the control board. They will also cleanly lubricate all the jacks, gears, slide seals, and other slide components of your RV.

Most engines require their spark plugs replaced every 30,000 to 80,000 miles of driving.

RVs usually require a transmission service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles traveled. This service involves visual inspection of the fittings and lines of the transmission and changing the transmission fluid.

The generator should be serviced on an annual basis to maintain the efficiency of its power production. The service involves the replacement of its oil filter and oil, and the inspection of the generator’s exhaust.

This should be done at least once every 12 months. The service includes visual inspection, removal for acid was, inner coil cleaning, amp-draw test, drain cleaning, and gasket and filter replacement.
